OS Explorer Maps (Active)
OS Explorer Active Maps are ‘encapsulated’ or weatherproof maps. They contain the same information as a standard 1:25,000 OS Explorer maps but are covered in a lightweight protective plastic coating.
In addition to handling wet weather conditions, the OS Explorer Map Active series can easily be written on with washable ink – making it simple to highlight your favourite routes on the map and then wipe them off when you return home.
The OS Explorer Map Active series has been adopted by many individuals and organisations involved in outdoor activities – from walkers to cyclists and from horse riders to climbers and water sports enthusiasts.
Explorer Active maps have a scale of 4cm to 1km (2½ inches to 1 mile, or 1:25,000) which enables them to show the smallest details including field boundaries & footpaths and larger features such as contours, and spot heights.
All of the OS Explorer Active maps now come with an iOS and Android compatible download of the area covered by the map. The downloaded map will allow users to plot and store routes electronically. All the map data is stored locally and is available regardless of whether your smart device has a signal or not, making it perfect for even the remotest areas.
Every part of England, Scotland and Wales is covered by a range of 403 OS Explorer Active maps that include National Trails, Recreational Paths, picnic areas, viewpoints and selected places of interest. In addition, the OS Explorer maps show Rights of Way information for England and Wales.
Don't forget that you can currently buy any of these Explorer Active maps from only £9.99 (that's a 1/3 off RRP) and that includes free UK delivery.
