PS Tattershall Castle :: Visitors' Map of London :: A-Z Maps
PS Tattershall CastleThe paddle steamer Tattershall Castle was built in West Hartlepool 1934 for the London and North Eastern Railway Company (LNER), specifically for use as a passenger ferry on the River Humber, she was licensed to carry 1050 passengers, besides a limited number of vehicles, livestock and cargo, over 40 years of service more than 1,000,000 passengers were ferried.
The opening of the Humber Bridge rendered the ferry service redundant and since 1982 PS Tattershall Castle has been operated as a floating pub and restaurant.
