Lambeth Palace

Lambeth Palace has been the London residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury for over 700 years. Features include 13th century crypt, Lollards Tower c.1490, entrance gate 1490. Of particular interest is the Great Hall rebuilt 1663 and now housing the historic library and record office of the Archbishops of Canterbury and the principal repository of the documentary history of the Church of England.

Founded in 1610, the Library is one of England's oldest public libraries.
