Delivery details

General Delivery Information

We dispatch all orders during our working hours (Monday to Friday between 9 am and 5 pm, excluding bank holidays).

All orders are dispatched as soon as possible however we’re unable to guarantee delivery by a specific date as once dispatched the progress of any order is out of our control.

Orders containing a print-on-demand, personalised, flat or mounted item take time to produce so will be dispatched within 15 working days.

Orders containing large format A4 atlases (which are printed on demand) take time to produce so will be dispatched within 5 working days.

We’ll send you an email to let you know when your order has been dispatched. Depending on the chosen delivery service you may also get a text message if you’ve provided a mobile phone number.

Delivery to UK Delivery Addresses

You can choose from a range of delivery options on our checkout page but if you order contains large, heavy or fragile items, delivery may be limited to an Express Delivery option only. In these cases, Express Delivery will be free** and this will be shown clearly on the checkout page.

  • Standard Mail Delivery (Royal Mail 2nd Class)

    This is our free* delivery service where orders will usually be dispatched within 3 working days; however please allow up to 15 working days for the creation and dispatch of orders containing print on demand, personalised, flat or mounted items. Once dispatched using the Royal Mail 2nd Class service, orders usually take between 3-5 working days for delivery.

  • First Class Delivery

    For orders placed before 12 noon Monday to Friday and where the whole order is in stock, we aim to dispatch the same working day via a Royal Mail First Class service. For orders placed after 12 noon and where the whole order is in stock, we will dispatch the next working day. However, please allow up to 15 working days for the creation and dispatch of orders containing print on demand, personalised, flat or mounted items. Once dispatched, orders usually take between 1-2 working days for delivery.

  • Express Delivery

    For orders placed before 12 noon Monday to Friday and where the whole order is in stock, we aim to dispatch the same working day via a 24-hour next working day** carrier service. For orders placed after 12 noon and where the whole order is in stock, we will dispatch the next working day. However, please allow up to 15 working days for the creation and dispatch of orders containing print on demand, personalised, flat or mounted items. Orders shipped by this method CAN NOT be delivered to a PO BOX and will require a signature on delivery.

*Free delivery is not available for any addresses outside the UK or to addresses in the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Channel Islands and Northern Ireland. Free delivery is also not available on any items that are mounted flat onto any medium.

**Next working day service is Monday to Friday only and excludes addresses in the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Channel Islands and Northern Ireland.

Overseas Delivery Addresses

Depending on the size and weight of your order we’ll dispatch via one of the following delivery methods.

  • Royal Mail International Standard

    This is an international delivery service where orders will usually be dispatched within 3 working days; however please allow up to 15 working days for the creation and dispatch of orders containing print on demand, personalised, flat or mounted items. All overseas orders are priced according to the total weight of the order. We have no way of advising on delivery times for overseas orders, but most should arrive within 15 working days of dispatch.

  • FedEx International Priority

    This is an international delivery service where orders will usually be dispatched within 3 working days; however please allow up to 15 working days for the creation and dispatch of orders containing print on demand, personalised, flat or mounted items. All overseas orders are priced according to the total weight of the order. We have no way of advising on delivery times for overseas orders, but most should arrive within 15 working days of dispatch.


Delivery Problems

Order not arrived yet

Some orders will not fit through a standard letter box or will require a signature on delivery. If your order cannot be delivered, a card will be left detailing how to arrange redelivery on a subsequent day or to advise collection procedures.

Please check your order confirmation or order dispatch email for the dispatch method, then use the contact details below to check on the progress of your delivery.

  • Standard Mail Delivery (Royal Mail 2nd Class)

    Please allow 10 working days from the dispatch date of your order. This will allow ample time for the delivery service to attempt delivery. If after this time you haven’t received a card advising of attempted delivery we would suggest you contact your local sorting office to see if they are holding your parcel for you to collect. To find the contact details for your local Royal Mail Delivery Office please call 03457 740740 or use their website to search for it using your postcode.

  • First Class Delivery

    Please allow 10 working days from the dispatch date of your order. This will allow ample time for the delivery service to attempt delivery. If after this time you haven’t received a card advising of attempted delivery we would suggest you contact your local sorting office to see if they are holding your parcel for you to collect.   • Express Delivery

    For orders sent by express delivery you should have received an email from our carrier (which is currently FedEx) with a tracking number and details of a failed delivery attempt. In these instances, please call 0345 600 0068 for FedEx customer support.

  • Royal Mail International Standard

    Please allow 15 working days from dispatch for overseas orders to arrive. This will allow ample time for the delivery service to attempt delivery. If after this time you haven’t received a card advising of attempted delivery we would suggest you contact your local sorting office to see if they are holding your parcel for you to collect.

  • FedEx International Priority

    For orders sent by FedEx International Priority delivery you should have received an email from our them with a tracking number and details of a failed delivery attempt. In these instances, please call 0345 600 0068 for FedEx customer support.

  • Items not dispatched by A-Z

    Some items available from our website are created on demand and/or shipped direct from the manufacturer (such as Large Format A4 Atlases, or Satmap devices, accessories and map cards); please allow up to 5 working days for dispatch. Items dispatched this way are normally sent via a Royal Mail First Class Service.
