Projects involving our cartographic services

Wayfinding Mapping

Wayfinding Mapping

Bournemouth Borough Council needed to update the mapping for their Wayfinding signs due to the re-development and changes in and around Bournemouth town centre and the seafront. The requirement involved creating 136 individual Wayfinding map files for signs at prominent locations throughout the town. The data files were analysed and prepared for future revision.

The files were imported into our cartographic software and updated with revisions carried out across the full range of features, including 3D building images of the new BH2 complex. Once updated new pdf files were created matching the existing series of heads-up orientated Wayfinding maps.

The brief also included incorporating information panels and images sourced from the client to produce print ready pdfs. A timeframe was agreed to revise, create and submit the maps for checking by the client with any further changes then carried out.

OS Adventure Series – National Trails

OS Adventure Series – National Trails

Providing maps now used by organisations such as National Trails, Three Peaks Partnership, North Downs Way, The Pennine Way, South West Coast Path, we designed and created this effective and useful walking map using the familiar OS 1:25k dataset.

With the use of geospatial technology, we overlaid layers to incorporate long distance walking routes designed to provide easy route identification when navigating outdoors. An index to map features was also created to enable fast lookup of places of interest on the map.

Our cartographic services and thoughtful map design have enhanced this popular OS 1:25k dataset making map reading outdoors easier for walkers.

London 2012 Venue Mapping

A-Z London 2012 Venue Mapping

This map data was presented using brand colours on a custom map base which included additional large scale venue maps to accurately locate vehicle drop off and pick up points.
