Her Majesty's Theatre

Built in 1897 on the site of three earlier theatres, the first being Queen's Theatre of 1705. Built for the Actor-Manager Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree, its grand interior with triple tiered boxes and plush decoration was ideal for his dramatic Shakespearian productions for which he was famous. The theatre was completely refurbished 1992-4.
