Coliseum Theatre

Home of English National Opera since 1968, known internationally for their award-winning innovative opera productions, the company grew out of the former Sadler’s Wells Opera. The theatre, designed as a major 'Theatre of Variety' by Frank Matchum, is appropriately exuberantly decorated, opened in 1904, with 2,359 seats it is both the largest theatre and has the widest proscenium arch in London. The Coliseum was completely restored between 2000-4.
