The home of French Cultural Institute in the UK, it promotes French language and culture through a wide ranging programme of talks and films. Founded in 1910 the Institute moved to this distinctively exotic art deco building in 1939; facilities include cinema, library, reception rooms and bistro.

The Ciné lumière repertory cinema screens a mix of French, European and world cinema, including retrospectives and themed seasons, both classics and new releases.
