There has been a song school associated with Saint Paul’s Cathedral since its foundation in 604, and the Cathedral plays an important part in the life of the modern school, choristers singing evensong during term-time six nights a week and lead the Sunday services.
Until 1989 the school was restricted to 38 pupils, all choristers and all boarders, though nowadays they work and play alongside 200 day pupils, both boys and girls, aged from 4-13 years during the school day.
