Old Royal Mint

Site of the former Royal Mint. It was here that our 'silver' and bronze coins were struck between 1811 and 1970, when production transferred to Llantrisant, South Wales. Prior to 1811 the Royal Mint was located in the Tower of London.

Only the impressive gateway survives redevelopment.
