Henry Wellcome co-founded Burroughs Wellcome & Co in 1880 which grew into the multinational pharmaceutical company of today, he funded medical research that changed the way we live and amassed an amazing collection of historical objects from all over the world. The Wellcome Collection is part of the Wellcome Trust established under Sir Henry's will in 1936, and is a unique mix of galleries and events bringing to life Wellcome's vision of a place where people could learn more about the development of medicine through the ages and across cultures.
