London's floating naval museum, this 11,500 ton World War II cruiser is now part of the Imperial War Museum. Launched in 1938, her main armament of twelve 6 inch guns and eight 4 inch guns made her one of the most powerful cruisers afloat. Her battle honours include Arctic Convoys 1943, Battle of North Cape 1943, D-Day landings 1944 and Korea 1950-52. Best seen from the Tower of London on the opposite bank.
