St Mary Abchurch
Medieval church rebuilt following the Great Fire by Wren 1681-87, it is an irregular square in plan, built in red brick with stone dressings, tower topped with leaded spire. The interior has a fine painted domed ceiling by William Snow 1708 and good carved woodwork including a fine Grindling Gibbons reredos, there are original high box pews on three sides and a canopied pulpit. Restored after war damage.
