Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church

Opened in 1848 as Bloomsbury Chapel and built intentionally on the edge of what was then an area of great poverty, the slums of St Giles. Its grand twin towered frontage featured spires until they became unsafe and were removed in 1951. Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church came into being in 1905 following the purchase of the Chapel freehold by the Baptist Union and London Baptist Association.
