All Saints Russian Orthodox Cathedral

Built in 1849 as All Saints parish church, remodelled by the Arts and Crafts architect Harrison Townsend in 1892. Adapted for Orthodox worship in 1956, the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God and All Saints is now one of the main places of Orthodox worship in London. This Orthodox parish was established in 1716 in the chapel of the Russian Embassy, the central doors of the present icon screen were rescued from there following the revolution of 1917.
