Golden Hinde

This floating museum ship is a full scale, ocean-going reconstruction of Sir Francis Drake's famous galleon. A fully working ship, launched in Devon in 1973 since when it has circumnavigated the globe.

The original Golden Hinde became famous as the flagship in which Drake made his circumnavigation the globe, leaving Plymouth in 1577, his journey took three years.
