The Art Gallery of the Courtauld Institute of Art, a college of the University of London, one of the world's leading centres for the study of art history and conservation.
Its famous art collection is housed in the north wing of the imposing neo-classical Somerset House and includes: the Courtauld Collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist painting, the Lord Fareham Collection (14th-18th century art); the Roger Fry Collection (Bloomsbury Group and Impressionists); and the Witt Collection of Old Master Drawings.
The Courtauld Collection includes paintings by Bonnard, Cezanne, Degas, Gauguin, Manet, Monet, Renoir, Seurat, Sisley, Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh. It shows Britain's most important group of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works.
