Cloth Workers Hall
The Clothworkers’ Company is one of the ancient City of London Livery Companies. Originally founded by Royal Charter in 1528 to protect members interests and promote the craft of cloth-finishing within the City of London, its role is now one of promoting charitable work and to continue to promote textiles principally through educational grants.
The present Hall was opened in 1958 and is the sixth on the site, previous Halls having been lost through disasters, such as the Blitz and the Great Fire of London, or were simply redeveloped, it includes a fine Livery Hall of double cube proportions.
