How to avoid errors when making your payment
Card Security Code (CVV2)
CVV2 is a security measure we require for all transactions. Because a CVV2 number appears only on the back of your card, the only way to know it is by physically having possession of the card itself. All cards made in Europe in the past 5 years or so have a CVV2 number.
If you cannot read your CVV2 number, you will need to contact the card issuing company.
How do I find the Security Code? Turn your card over and look in the signature strip. You will find either the entire 16-digit card number or just the last 4 digits, followed by a space, then a 3 digit number. That 3 digit number is your CVV2 number.
Maestro/Switch cards and issue numbers
When using a Maestro card please enter the longest number displayed in the centre of the card (not the smaller account number at the bottom of the card).
An issue number is usually only required for a Maestro card. If your Maestro card has no issue number, like some Royal Bank of Scotland cards, then leave this field blank.
3D secure paymentsA-Z offer an additional level of security to protect our customers by using the Verified by Visa and MasterCard® SecureCode™ schemes.
If your card issuer supports one of these schemes, you may see an additional page during the payment process. This will be provided by your card issuer and will prompt you to provide your password or enroll in the scheme if you have not already done so.
For more information on these schemes, please contact your card issuer, or click the links below.
